This isn’t a traditional maternity shoot.

It’s a cinematic maternity photography shoot designed to capture your pregnancy in the ocean or pool, on land, and from the air — creating a set of images that feel unique, natural, and deeply personal.

Underwater, images are shaped by natural light, creating a range of looks within a single shoot as conditions shift. Sessions can take place in the ocean or a heated pool (It’s your choice) in Sydney.

On land, wide landscape shots place you in nature — often coastal — creating a standout image you’ll want to print. Alongside that, simple, natural portraits, nothing forced. Shot in beautiful locations around the Northern Beaches and wider Sydney.

From above, aerial shots add scale and perspective, bringing the environment into the frame.

The result is a set of images that goes beyond standard maternity photography — something unique you’ll want to keep, share, and display.

How It Works

  • Tell me a bit about you — your stage of pregnancy, timing, and the type of shoot you’re drawn to.

  • We’ll design your session across land, the air, sea or pool — including location, timing, and the overall feel of the images.

    Everything is guided, simple, and tailored to you.

  • We monitor ocean and weather conditions closely and coordinate a time that works for your schedule and delivers the best possible water clarity and light.

    Conditions can change quickly. If they significantly impact image quality, we offer a complimentary reshoot.

    Alternatively, sessions can be moved to a private pool. During winter months, heated pools are used to ensure comfort and consistent results.

  • You’ll receive a curated set of professionally edited images — designed as frameable, artistic pieces that feel natural, timeless, and uniquely yours.

    A mix of underwater, land, and aerial perspectives come together to capture both the moment and the environment around you.

  • A unique underwater portrait session (ocean or pool), capturing natural movement, light, and form beneath the surface

  • A land-based maternity shoot, using a clean, natural outdoor style

  • A signature landscape portrait, I take you to a carefully chosen coastal location and create a wider, environmental image that places you within the scene

In addition, every session includes:

  • Pre-session planning and creative direction

  • Drone imagery capturing both you and the surrounding environment

  • Fine art long exposure imagery

  • 25+ professionally edited images

  • Digital delivery

    We work with light, water conditions, and location to create something unique to you.

Each session is tailored to you — your comfort in the water, your stage of pregnancy, and the style you’re drawn to.

The experience combines three elements:

  • A signature underwater portrait session — capturing natural movement, light, and form beneath the surface

  • A land-based maternity shoot — a clean, relaxed outdoor style you’d expect from a traditional session

  • A signature landscape portrait — placing you within a carefully chosen coastal location to create a wider, environmental image designed to be printed and framed

Together, these create a complete set of images that feel both personal and visually striking.

For the land and aerial elements, I typically shoot along Sydney’s coastline — primarily around Manly, as well as Bondi and surrounding beaches.

If you have a specific location in mind — including inland settings — I’m happy to tailor the shoot to your vision. If getting in the water isn’t your thing, that’s completely fine. We can create something just as powerful on land or at a location that feels right to you. Whether it’s ocean, inland, or a mix of elements, the shoot is tailored to your vision and comfort.
