An Underwater Portrait Experience

This is not a traditional photoshoot.
It’s an underwater portrait experience for anyone — whether you’re completely at home in the water or stepping outside your comfort zone.

We capture natural, unforced moments beneath the surface — where movement, light, and the human form come together in a way that simply doesn’t exist on land.

Whether it’s a moment in time you want to remember — like pregnancy, a milestone, or simply your connection to the ocean — these are images that feel personal, timeless, and uniquely yours.

Sessions from $500 - Ocean or heated pool

What the Experience Is

A one-on-one underwater photography experience with Leo Clifford, underwater photographer with over 15 years of experience. Sessions take place in either a pool or the ocean and are planned to achieve strong results, with clear guidance on positioning and movement throughout.

At the same time, there’s no pressure — we leave space for natural, unplanned moments to happen as well.

And above all, it’s a genuinely fun and enjoyable experience.

Underwater sessions are $500

Why Underwater Photography Is Different

For some people, water isn’t just a setting — it’s somewhere they feel deeply connected. Whether in the ocean surrounded by nature or in the calm of a pool, being underwater creates a unique sense of freedom and flow. Ocean sessions bring adventure and raw connection; pool sessions offer stillness and creative control. Either way, it’s immersive, physical, genuinely fun — and you leave feeling energised and proud of what you’ve created.

What You Get

  • Before the session, we align on inspiration, style, mood, and preparation so you feel confident before entering the water.

  • You are guided throughout the session with positioning, movement cues, breath control, and pacing.

  • All images are carefully selected and professionally edited to ensure a clean, cohesive, and natural finish.

Final image count depends on conditions and comfort in the water. Quality and creative integrity are prioritized over quantity.

  • All images are carefully selected and edited to maintain a natural, true-to-life look — reflecting the light, movement, and feel of the water as it actually is.
More stylised or fine art retouching can be applied where a specific look is requested.

  • "An incredibly beautiful and fun experience - I was made to feel completely at ease every step of the way and captured truly timeless underwater images as a result."

  • Thank you for capturing such a special moment in my life Leo! At 36 weeks pregnant, in the ocean, on the land, feeling the fresh air…you made me feel comfortable and at ease, both in and out of the water. Memories through your photography that I will cherish forever, I can’t wait to share these with my little one. Thank you!
